Due to the ongoing Covid situation in Australia, this game ended up being given the prime Friday night slot. Although the Saints lost narrowly to the Eagles in Perth the week before, there were some good signs, and other results had fallen our way. If we won this game, we’d be in the final eight. Carlton played well and kicked straight and the Saints did neither of those things. A golden opportunity went begging on a bitterly disappointing night.
